This meeting is the first to be held in the greater Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia area. The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory will host the meeting in its Kossiakoff Center conference facility in Laurel, Maryland. This facility offers a spacious auditorium, poster areas, breakout rooms, and space for onsite dining. A nearby hotel is in walking distance to the meeting site.
Early reservations are encouraged if you wish to stay at the closest hotel. The Homewood Suites by Hilton Columbia/Laurel is a short walk to the Kossiakoff Center and offers guest rooms for IPPW attendees. Visit the hotel’s booking page to reserve IPPW rate rooms, currently priced at $106 and $149 for a suite. The booking deadline is May 20, 2016, but the rate may sell out before that date.
Maps and other local travel information are available on the JHU/APL visitor webpage. International flight availability is often better into Dulles International Airport, but Dulles is farther away from JHU/APL.
Laurel, Maryland, is convenient to the Washington, DC, and Baltimore, Maryland, metropolitan areas. Three airports are nearby.
Lodging plans for students are still in work. Updates will be provided in the future.
